CPM veteran leader Jakka Venkaiah dies

Nellore: Veteran CPI (M) leader and two time legislator from Allur constituency in Nellore district Jakka Venkaiah died at a private hospital here on Tuesday. He has been ailing with age related issues and lost his last breath today morning. 

The 84-year Venkaiah has been strong pillar of the Marxist activities in the district and he won from erstwhile Allur Constituency in 1985 and 1994 assembly elections. He was responsible for expansion of the party into a mass movement. 

He was joined a corporate hospital in the city and his health condition deteriorated since Monday night and he died on Tuesday morning. Local CPM leaders expressed deep condolences on the demise of the veteran leader.
