Container with 60 cattle seized

Kakinada: Sarpavaram police in Kakinada rural seized a container carrying 60 cattle from Srikakulam to Suryapeta in Telangana State. On a tip-off by locals, police laid a trap at Vanalapudi  in Kakinada rural and seized the vehicle transporting the cattle to  a slaughter house in Suryapeta.

The driver of the vehicle Syed Akbar was arrested and the cattle were shifted to  Society for Prevention of  Cruelty to Animals at Nagamalli  Theta Junction in Kakinada. Sarpavaram  SHO Tammi Nayudu registered a case and took up investigation.
