After receiving awards, Mayor, civic chief meet Chandrababu Naidu

Vijayawada: Mayor Koneru Sridhar and Municipal Commissioner J Nivas met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at the Secretariat on Monday as a courtesy call on receiving Swachh Survekshan 2018 award for Vijayawada City under India’s Cleanest Big City.

They explained the Chief Minister that Vijayawada city was adjudged India’s Cleanest Big City and they had received the award from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Mayor and the Commissioner briefed Naidu on various activities taken up by the corporation for beautification of canal bunds, mesh fencing at canal bridges, establishing recreation parks, painting of walls and other activities to keep the city clean.
