Two die as tipper hits auto

Guntur: Two persons were killed and three others were injured when the auto-rickshaw in which they were travelling hit by a tipper at Ankireddypalem in Guntur on Sunday.

According to police, S Sivaprassad (26), a woman and three others were coming to Guntur city from Chilakaluripet town by auto-rickshaw when the vehicle reached near Ankireddypalem  near Guntur city, a tipper proceeding towards Chilakaluripet hit the auto-rickshaw and as a result two passengers died on the spot and three others seriously injured.

The injured were shifted to the Guntur General Hospital (GGH) for treatment. The deceased were shifted to the GGH for conducting post-mortem. While the identity of the woman is yet to be ascertained. Police registered a case and took up investigation.
