Minor sexually assaulted in Pithapuram

Pithapuram: Blind with lust, an elderly person sexually assaulted a minor at Chinna Jaggampet of Gollaprolu mandal, according to delayed reports reaching here on Wednesday. 

The victim hails from SC colony of the village and is a student of the residential school for the SCs. She has been residing with her aunt as she lost mother in childhood and because of father’s defective vision. 

She went out on July 6 night to answer calls of nature when Kongu Talupulu, her relative, took her into his home on one pretext or the other and perpetrated the offence.  

He threatened to eliminate her father if she revealed it to others. However, the girl revealed it to her father. 

As the matter was leaked out, the village elders tried to work out a compromise by arranging compensation. 

The girl’s father refused to accept the settlement lodged a complaint with the police.  Pithapuram CI B Appa Rao, Gollaprolu SI Siva Krishna visited the village and investigating the case.
