Awareness meet on ESI schemes organised
Vijayawada: Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) plays a key role in workers’ health and job security, said AP ESIC regional director B Ramakoti.
He participated as a guest at the awareness programme organised jointly by the AP Union of Working Journalists, Krishna urban and Vijayawada Press Club here on Friday.
Addressing the gathering, Ramakoti said that there were many benefits through ESI to the workers and explained the changes in scheme.
He said that health issues like brain stroke would also be considered as accident in service. The family members of employee can also get treatment at super specialty hospital through ESI.
Journalist Union president Ravi, ESI Assistant director N Rajendraprasad and others union members were present.
