Speedy disposal of Chandranna Bhima claims ordered

Kakinada: East Godavari Collector Kartikeya Mishra directed both DRDA and Velugu departments to settle Chandranna Bhima claims within three days of receiving the claims.

Reviewing the activities of both the departments at his camp office on Tuesday, the Collector said that out of 1,627 claims 1,402 were found valid and out of this, 1007 claims were sent to various insurance companies for clearance. 

The remaining have been sent to stakeholder departments such as Panchayat Raj, police ,concerned area hospitals for speedy disposal, the Collector said. 

He asked the concerned departments to clear the remaining pending claims in the next three days.

Kartikeya  Mishra  also reviewed the performance of MEPMA (Mission for Elimination of Poverty  in Municipal Areas) and asked the department to concentrate more  on SHG bank linkage to cover more women self-help groups.

Assistant Collector Dhyan Chandra, DRDA project director Madhusudhana Rao and officials of other departments participated.
