Amaravati: An angioplasty workshop for coastal Andhra Pradesh cardiologists was conducted on Wednesday by Prof. (Dr) Eemadh Sheban Itali in Andhra Hospital at the invitation of Dr P V Ramana Murthy, Managing Director.

Dr Sheban, who has good experience and skills in conducting angioplasty to clear clots in blood vessels instead of bypass surgery, explained that severe blockages due to calcium can be cleared by Rotablater technology, keeping the stent in the same place, for free flow of blood.

Through the Fractional Flow Reserve test, he enlightened the participants whether a patient requires a stent or not.

Chief Cardiologist Dr J Srimannarayana who organised the workshop shared with the gathering Dr. Sheban’s technical excellence.
