950 calls received under Dial 100 in Guntur district

​Guntur: Urban SP office received 950 phone calls under the Dial 100 during the last one month. The police officials said that out of which 158 calls relating to the injuries, 60 calls relating to the road accidents, 25 cases relating to crimes connected with property, 4 cases relating to suicides. 

Remaining 693 cases were relating other cases.  Guntur Urban SP Ch Viaya Rao said that Dial 100 was working around the clock and urged the people to avail the facility provided by the police to solve their problems. Guntur Urban Additional SP YT Naidu is nodal officer for Dial 100.

The SP warned that if anybody furnishes false information or unnecessary calls, the department will take stern action against them. He said those in need of police help or cooperation avail the facility.
