Rifle shooters asked to fetch more medals to Kurnool

Kurnool: State Rugby Organisation Secretary C Ramanjaneyulu asked the rifle shooters to fetch more medals to district thereby getting fame  at state level rifle shooting championship. The state level rifle shooting championship is likely to be held in Hyderabad from 17th August.  

Selection of athletes was done at Outdoor Stadium on Sunday evening. Ramanjaneyulu participated as chief guest and suggested the athletes to make their best efforts at the rifle shooting event.

Later speaking on the occasion, Ramanjaneyulu said that rifle shooting is gaining momentum in the district. Several students are showing interest in practicing the sport. As many as 10 athletes from Kurnool district have represented National Level Rifle shooting championship events.

This is a good sign to district, he stated. Taking the earlier athletes as their inspiration, the presently selected athletes have to show par excellence at the state level rifle shooting. The athletes have to fetch more medals to district, he added.  

Later, selection procedure was conducted at the outdoor stadium. State Rugby Organisation president Surendra, District Rifle Shooting Organisation secretary  Basha, District Skating Organisation secretary Sunil Kumar, District Netball Organisation secretary Nagarathnamaiah, District Yoga Organisation secretary Avinash Shetty, Ravi Kumar and others participated in the programme.
