3-day- old baby boy found abandoned

Kurnool: A new born male baby was found abandoned by some unidentified persons near a culvert on the way to Cherukulapadu village in Veldurlthy mandal on Tuesday afternoon.  

According to the available information, the locals travelling on the way from Cherukulapadu village to Veldurthy heard some cries coming from the culvert and found a male baby of 3 days old wrapped in some clothes.

They informed to the Veldurthy police who in turn informed to Integrated Child Development Society (ICDS)  officials. The CDPO, Chandrakala of Dhone division visited the spot and shifted the baby to Dhone Area Hospital for treatment as the baby is in a weak condition.

The Assistant Project Director (APD), P Vijaya said that the baby health condition is not good. If the baby could cope with the treatment then it will be fine or else the baby would be shifted Kurnool General Hospital for better treatment, she said.
