Bharata Ratna to Pingali Venkaiah urged by Humanity Charitable Society

Vijayawada: The Humanity Charitable Society urged the government to honour the tricolor national flag designer Pingali Venkaiah with Bharata Ratna. 

In a programme held here on Saturday, society president K Subramanya Sastry and member K Sudhakar said that the government should declare national holiday on August 2 on Pingali Venkaiah’s birth anniversary. 

They also said that Pingali’s life should be included in the school curriculum. Several leaders and members of society also took part in the meeting.
