Non-bailable warrant issued against AP CM Chandrababu Naidu

A non-bailable warrant issued against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in connection with 2010 Babli project agitation by Dharmabad Court of Maharashtra. The court also directed them to attend before the bench on September 21.

Along with Babu, the court also issued an arrest warrant to 16 others who had staged a dharna near Babli project site in Maharashtra in 2010. The Pune police then registered cases against them for protesting against the construction of Babli project which was alleged to have built with an intention to divert Godavari water from Telangana.

In addition to Naidu, Water Resources Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao and Social Welfare Minister N Anand Babu, former Karimnagar MLA G Kamalakar, former Peddapalle MLA Vijayaramarao were booked in the case.
