MLA performs Bhumipuja to lift scheme

Kurnool: Banaganapalle MLA BC Janardhan Reddy performed Bhumipuja for the construction of lift irrigation scheme (LIS) on Akka Chemma Cheruvu on Sunday. The scheme will be constructed at a cost of Rs 2.28 crore.  Later addressing the gathering on the occasion, Janardhan Reddy said that the lift irrigation scheme or other projects were not proposed by several MLAs for many years previously in Banaganapalle constituency.

Reddy said Akka Chemma Cheruvu  will be beneficial to farmers  and if it is filled with water of Srisailam Right Bank Canal (SRBC), then the  surrounding villages would get water for irrigation and drinking.

The dream of the people of these area will be realised after the completion of Akka Chemma Cheruvu lift scheme.  He thanked Chief Minister N  Chandrababu Naidu for considering the request to sanction lift irrigation scheme to Akka Chemma Cheruvu.
