Power supply restored in 98% of villages: Kala Venkat Rao

Srikakulam: Minister for Energy K Kala Venkat Rao and Principal Secretary to energy department Ajay Jain on Tuesday said that the power supply was restored in 98 per cent of Titli cyclone-affected villages.

In a press conference here, they said that except for four villages and 20 habitations, power supply was restored for all other villages and habitations. The power supply was restored in 12 days, which is a record in the history of power department.

“We are planning to install circle and spun shape electric poles to protect from cyclone damages. In future, we will provide mobile charging units at all villages under corporate social responsibility to avoid communication network problems’’ he said.
