Prevent spread of swine flu, malaria

Anantapur: District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) Dr Anil Kumar held a review meeting with all the medical officers and para-medical staff here on Thursday. He directed the medical staff to strive hard to tackle and prevent swine flu and malaria in the district.

He requested people in rural areas to identify people suspected to be suffering with the diseases and send them to government general hospital. He said that separate ward has been set up for suspects of the diseases.

The DMHO said that screening tests were going on in all the government residential schools for HIV/AIDS test and as well as for other communicable diseases. Blood tests were being conducted for children inside and outside the schools.
