Strive to make Kurnool district TB-free, Collector tells officials

Kurnool: District Collector S Sathyanarayana gave instructions to the officials of Medical department to strive to transform Kurnool as TB free district.  At a meeting with officials, the Collector said Kurnool has been awarded with first prize for excellent performance of TB Control Center for the year 2017.

He called upon the officials to work with the same spirit and ensure Kurnool to TB free district. He lauded  the dedicated services extended by the TB Control Officer, Dr Sri Devi and District Medical and Health Officer Dr Prasad for achieving the award.

The Collector said the Andhra Pradesh Tuberculosis Association  organised a two day conference on 36th Andhra Pradesh Tuberculosis and chest diseases at Arogyavaram Medical Center near Madanapalle in Chittoor district on 10 and 11th of November.

In this conference Kurnool has been awarded with the prize for attaining 91 per cent success rate in curing 7292 TB cases registered in 2017. This award has been granted to Dr Sri Devi for her effortless services in controlling the disease.
