Car used for smuggling red sanders logs recovered

Tirupati: Red Sanders Anti-Smuggling Task Force (RSASTF) personnel have recovered a car which was used for smuggling red sanders logs after a hot chase in the early hours of Saturday. 

Two smugglers on seeing task force cops inspecting the vehicles near Karakambadi Road on the city outskirts, they drove the car towards forest. 

As the cops were chasing them, they left the vehicle bearing Tamil Nadu registration near Reddigunta and fled from the scene. The police recovered the car and found iron rods. 

Later, RSASTF IG M Kantha Rao and DSP Venkata Ramana inspected the spot and appreciated the RSI Vijaya Narasimha and his team for seizing the car.
