Varsity weightlifting team selected

Vijayawada: The Krishna University Weight Lifting (Women) team was announced here on Monday. The selected team will represent the All-India Inter-University Weight Lifting (Women) Championship for the year 2018-2019 organised by Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur. 

The Championship will be held from November 27th to 29th. Sk Nazma and N Prasanthi of Dr Zakir Hussain College, Ibrahimpatnam and N Swapna, Montessori Mahila Kalasala, Vijayawada had been selected for the National championship and V Nageswara Rao has been nominated as manager of the team. The coaching camp for the team was held at Vijayawada from November 20 to 26. 

On this occasion, Venkateswara Rao, Principal of KVR College, Nandigama and Dr N Srinivasa Rao, Secretary, Sports Board, Krishna University extended their wishes to the players to perform better in Inter-University Championship.
