Babasaheb Ambedkar remembered in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Rich tributes were paid to Dr BR Ambedkar by the members of Dalita Girijana Stree Shakti (DGSS) to mark his 62nd death anniversary here on Thursday. 

The chief guest of the occasion was DGSS founder and president Valluri Chandraleela.

Speaking to the media on the occasion Chandraleela said that all the Dalit people should be ever grateful to Dr BR Ambedkar who was the architect of the Constitution of India. 

She said that the present political parties were divided over caste and creed and were ruling us. 

“We all are one and we are Ambedkar descendants,” she said and added: “We should unite and put an end to the authority of the upper caste people who are ruling us after winning with our votes.”
