Agriculture college students demand own building

Rajamahendravaram: Students of Agriculture College affiliated to Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University staged dharna at the college located on the premises of SKVT degree college here on Friday, demanding the government to  solve their just demands immediately.

The students demanded the government to start the construction of agriculture college building, for which foundation stone was laid one year ago and also demanded not to privatise agriculture courses.

The students alleged that the college is continuing in the hired building belonging to SKV college for the last several years, which is not sufficient to run the college. 

At the time of foundation stone laying ceremony Minister for Agriculture Chandramohan Reddy and other officials assured the students to complete the construction of building without delay which has not materialsed so far.

They also demanded the government not to private agriculture-related courses. 

The students warned the government that they would intensify the agitation if it failed construction of college building immediately.
