Congress questions YSRCP celebrations over TRS victory

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) vice-president Dr N Tulasi Reddy took a strong exception to the distribution of sweets by the YSR Congress in Andhra Pradesh for victory of TRS in Telangana.

Speaking to media persons here on Friday, Tulasi Reddy wondered how could YSRCP leaders celebrate the victory of TRS which opposed Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh and had been creating hurdles to the irrigation projects.

The Telangana government was constructing irrigation projects illegally, he said and asked the YSR Congress leaders to answer people on their happiness over TRS victory. He also recalled that the TRS leader and minister T Harish Rao called YS Rajasekhar Reddy as water robber.

He said that the TRS leaders, including Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao abused the leaders of Andhra Pradesh with vulgar language several times. He demanded that the leaders of YSRCP explain the reasons for their welcoming TRS victory to public.
