Police raid on cockfight den, two organizers died

On the occasion of the Sankranti festival cockfight betting are in full swing in Andhra. As the cockfight is illegal, the police are conducting raids on the dens and arresting the organizers.

In Krishna district, Catrayi Mandal Cittapuru village police made a sudden raid on the betting gang at midnight on Thursday. 

On seeing the policemen, two members of the betting gang began to run, and accidentally fell into the agriculture well and died on the spot.

The police identified the two deceased as Citturi Srinivas Rao (20), Kukkala Cenna Keshava Rao (26).
