Science expo organised to mark Republic Day in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Prof AVVS Swamy of the Acharya Nagarjuna University has said science exhibitions would help in bringing out the latent creative talent of the students.

To mark the 70th Republic Day celebrations, ‘Dr Sudha Science Quest’ was organised at the St John’s English Medium School here on Saturday.

Prof Swamy, who was the chief guest o the occasion, in his address, said  that the efforts of the school management to bring out creative skills and talent of the students was commendable. 

He visited the science exhibition and complimented the students.

Around 600 students participated in the science exhibition and displayed about 300 various exhibits related to Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

In all, 80 students were given first, second and third prizes for the best models to encourage the students by SRR and CVR Degree College principal Velaga Joshi on the occasion.

School chairman T Monika Suman, secretary and Correspondent T Suman Tyagaraju, principal P Ramabarathi, teachers, students, parents and others were present on the occasion.
