EG police receives national award

Kakinada: East Godavari police bagged the prestigious Skoch Order of Merit award for community policing and for implementation of welfare schemes in Maoist influential areas.

According to district police, the two awards bronze for communality policing and silver medal for real time monitoring to avoid accidents-- were presented in New Delhi on Monday by Skoch Group chairman Samir Kochhar and received by East Godavari SP Vishal Gunni,  Chintur  DSP Dr O Dilip Kiran and Chintur SI Srinivasa Kumar.

SP Vishal Gunni on this occasion thanked the Skoch Group for recognising the services of East Godavari police at national level.
