Chirala Council witnesses heated arguments

Chirala: The members of the Chirala Municipal Council shared heated arguments and created havoc in the council meeting on Thursday. The municipal chairman announced that all of the resolutions are passed at last, even though the considerable discussion was not done on many of them.

The Chirala MLA Amanchi Krishna Mohan joined YSR Congress Party on Wednesday at the inaugural function of YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s home and office in Tadepalli. The Chirala municipal corporation chairman Ramesh and AMC chairman Janjanam Srinivasa Rao and few councillors also followed the MLA and joined the YSRCP from TDP.

On Thursday, the pre-scheduled municipal council meeting witnessed an exchange of words between the YSRCP and TDP members. The councillors who continue to remain in TDP questioned the chairman about changing the party and demanded him to resign to the post immediately. 

The TDP councillor Kagitala Prakash and others obstructed the business of the house by arguing with the YSRCP councillors. Unable to keep the council calm for few minutes, the chairman announced that the agenda is passed in the council and adjourned the house.
