CEO reviews poll arrangements

Kakinada: Andhra Pradesh CEO Gopala Krishna Dwivedi called upon East Godavari district officials to initiate measures for peaceful conduct of forthcoming elections in the district.

Reviewing with officials from Velagapudi through videoconference on Wednesday evening, the CEO said that transport and communication are very vital for peaceful conduct of the polls.

Narrating the measures initiated for the conduct of polls in the district, Collector Kartikeya Mishra said that the district revenue and police officials have been working in coordination for peaceful conduct of polls.

The district authorities are also in constant touch with bordering state officials of Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Odisha, the Collector said.

Kartikeya Mishra also said as far as conduct of polls in East Godavari agency area is concerned, two choppers are needed for official use.

East Godavari SP Vishal Gunni, Rajamahendravaram urban SP Dr Simoshi Bajpai disclosed the details of various measures initiated for smooth conduct of polls in the district.
