Vijay Devarakonda in a romantic entertainer

After a disaster like ‘Ye Mantram Vesave’, teen sensation Vijay Devarakonda  redeemed himself with the blockbuster ‘Mahanati’ and now will be waiting to score a hit with his upcoming film `Geetha Govindam,’ which is almost complete and the makers are planning for a worldwide release this August. Billed to be a family entertainer, it is being helmed under the direction of Parasuram of `Solo’ fame, who is busy with its post-production work. 

Kannada actress Rashmika Mandanna is going to play the female lead opposite Vijay. Allu Aravind’s GA2 Arts have bankrolled the movie and Gopi Sunder has composed the music. The film, which is adding a slice of commercial and family drama, is touted as a romantic entertainer. Though Vijay is eagerly awaiting the release of his next film ‘Taxiwaala’, it has been delayed due to its post-production VFX work. After the success of ‘Arjun Reddy’, fans are eagerly waiting to see him on screen in an intense character again.
