Trisha is on a new high

Update: 2018-10-26 05:30 IST

Glam diva Trisha has become very demanding and acting pricey these days. After one big Tamil hit film ‘96’, she is reportedly demanding author-backed roles and thumbing down routine stuff.  “She has rejected a glam-centric role in Telugu just a few days ago,” says a Telugu producer, who approached her to play the female lead opposite a middle-aged Telugu hero.

“It seems that a big success like ‘96’ has given her a new lease of life and she is on a new high. Apart from demanding performance-driven roles, she is also seeking Rs 2 crore pay, if it is a big budget film,’ the producer adds. Although, Trisha has showcased her acting chops in films like ‘Nuvvu Vasthanante Ne Vadantana,’ and ‘Aadavari Matalaku Aradhale Verule,’ but she gained popularity as a glam girl with her carved physique and good looks in T-town.

She worked with top stars like Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu and Jr NTR and carved a niche for herself. “Although, the Tamil audience have accepted her as a performer in ’96,’ yet, it will take more time for Trisha to get such role in Telugu,” he adds. With her maiden female-centric ‘Mohini’ crashing at the box office, the actress has kept away from solo heroine movies in T-town.
