Telugu filmmakers troubled by elections

Update: 2018-12-07 22:47 IST

The release dates also play a key role in deciding the fate of the film. So, the makers try to pick perfect season for the film. But, today, some Tollywood filmmakers made a big risk of releasing their movies today on the elections day.

As the government declared a holiday today, the makers thought of cashing it. That is why three movies hit the screens today. Bellamkonda Sreenivas' action cop drama 'Kavacham', Tamannaah and Sundeep Kishan starrer 'Next Enti' and Sumanth's 'Subrahmanyapuram' hit the screens today on December 7th. But the movie outcome came out as a shocker for all these films. The maximum occupancy of the theatres is not even 20-30% in Telangana region. However, the collections in Andhra region in Godavari and Rayalaseema regions are somewhat better.

But in Telangana, the people in large numbers are going to cast their votes and it seems like the movie might have to face the same fate in Telangana.
