Outrage over rape of 10-yr-old student by teacher

Bhimavaram: Tension prevailed when parents and relatives of a 10-year-old student studying in Class III attacked Sri Bharati Residential School here on Wednesday, protesting against alleged rape of the girl by dance teacher of the institution.According to police, mother of the victim complained that dance teacher S Chaitanya Verma committed the crime on the pretext of taking dance class for the girl in privacy. 

The accused allegedly took the girl into wash room and resorted to the crime. The teacher was married and living with wife and children. The incident took place on Tuesday evening. Protesting against the “non-responsive attitude” of the school management, the relatives and parents surrounded the school since early on Wednesday.The police personnel from One-Town and Two-Town police stations rushed to the spot and tried to bring the situation under control.
