Tricolor unfurled at GITAM

Hyderabad: The tricolor unfurled at GITAM University, Hyderabad. Exuberance and patriotic fervour marked 72nd Independence Day celebrations in GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad on Wednesday. GITAM, Hyderabad Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof N Siva Prasad hoisted the national flag at the forecourt of the university’s main building at around 8.45 a.m. 

In his Independence Day address, Siva Prasad advised the students to be optimistic with a calm and clear mind. He explained the progress of independent India in the last 71 years. Kalakruti team sung the patriotic songs.

Resident Director DVVSR Varma, HBS Dean & Director Prof. Y Lakshman Kumar, School of Technology Principal Prof. Ch Sanjay, School of Science Principal Prof. G A Rama Rao, School of Architecture Director Prof. Sunil Kumar, Director-Student Affairs Prof. A Sreeram, HoDs of various departments, faculty, students, and staff also participated in the celebrations.
