Awareness programme poster released

Falaknuma: A poster of an awareness programme about the child marriages was released by the Falaknuma ACP Faiyaz along with other staff of the police station. 

The program is to educate parents and guardians about the rule position pertaining to marriages as per the law. The campaign is to make people aware that marrying off girls below the age of 18 years and boys of 21 years was not allowed by the law. It is to be noted that despite several measures by the authorities and different NGOs, many families in old city have resorted to marry off their minor girls and boys during past several years.
