Prof Nirmala Apsingikar new ASCI Director General

Hyderabad: Prof Nirmala Apsingikar took charge as the Director General (in-Charge) of the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), following the resignation of the former IAS officer RH Khwaja. 

Prof Nirmala Apsingikar, chairperson of the IT Area, has been with ASCI for over 32 years. An IITian, her areas of specialization and interest include IT Strategy; The digital enterprise; IT-enabled business process improvement; knowledge management, e-Governance and business strategy.

Mr Khwaja in his farewell speech thanked K Padmanabhaiah for the opportunity to serve the institution from January 2017 to April 2018. Padmanabhaiah, former Home Secretary, praised Mr.Khwaja's contribution as the DG and appreciated his efforts for the growth of the institution. Apart from the DG (i/c), the ASCI Registrar Kalyan K Roy, dean of training programmes Prof Valli Manickam and dean of research projects Prof Nirmalya Bagchi were also present.
