VIMTA Labs donates vehicle to Akshaya Patra Foundation

Hyderabad: VIMTA Labs Ltd is one of the leading CRO in India, providing clinical research & development services to global pharmaceutical & biotechnology companies , has extended its support to The Akshaya Patra Foundation by donating an Mahendra Imperio Vehicle of worth 15 Lacs for the Akshaya Patra Foundation food transportation to school children under its corporate social responsibility initiative. 

The Akshaya patra food vehicles are thermo stat vehicles which preserves the vessels temperature so that  hot and hygienic meal can be served to the school childen. The Akshaya patra foundation kitchens are for supporting & bringing more under privileged children to schools for education in Telangana. Currently Akshaya Patra currently serves nutritious and freshly cooked school lunch to 1,54,649 beneficiaries every day which includes mid-day meals to 1,08,494 children in 1,207 schools and 46,155 Anganwadi beneficiaries at 1,386 centres across 7 districts of Telangana.

The Akshaya Patra midday meal program is a strong incentive to parents to send children to school, thereby encouraging enrolment, reducing absenteeism and dropout rates, the programme has a positive impact on health and nutrition of children.

In a specially organized ceremony today (15th May 2018) at the premises of Swayumbhu Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Golden Temple,Banjara Hills, Road #12,  -Hyderabad , VIMTA Labs  Managing Director  Smt . Haritha Vasi reddy  & Sri Mahesh Naidu handed over the vehicle key to Akshaya Patra Foundation Telangana President Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa in the presence of other officials & functionaries from VIMTA labs  & Akshaya Patra Foundation.
