Water scarcity at Peddemul

Tandur: Peddemul in Vikarabad district has been reeling under acute water scarcity. The supply of drinking water in the town is not able to meet the huge demand for the last 10 days. Panchayat officials said they could not store the water in overhead tanks due to power cuts. 

The town, with 6000 population has been suffering from dearth of water at least to meet minimum needs. Panchayat officials and Sarpanch Padmamma are supplying water through tanks for time being. People fear that the region may run dry in near future if authorities do not take immediate action.
