Old City motorists elated over parking at Charminar

Charminar: Ramzan has come as a boon for the Old City motorists as they now get the opportunity to park their vehicles near Charminar. The erstwhile Charminar bus terminal has been turned into a big parking area ever since the old structure was razed.

There was no space for parking in the tourist area here and there have been lot of trouble for the visitors. Moreover, daily local visitors had to face lot of difficulties finding parking space near Charminar for a long time. There was a little space at Unani Hospital premises, but it was insufficient for the huge number of vehicles coming here daily.

Now that the Charminar Pedestrian Project is undergoing, the authorities have decided to stop vehicular movement around the Charminar and tentative parking space has been provided on the place of bus terminal.

This place has been identified for the construction of a multi-level parking facility very soon. The frequency of vehicles has increased ever since the month of Ramzan has started.
