Secunderabad: Reiterating on the safety aspect, the SCR general manager Vinod Kumar Yadav said that infrastructure development is definitely a priority but safety of passengers comes first.

He added, although this has its impact on punctuality to an extent, SCR is focused to maintain a fine balance between safety and punctuality so that both the core areas of passenger satisfaction are attained. Infrastructure development works result in blocking traffic in identified sections for a minimum of three hours which has a cascading effect on train punctuality.
