JVV dubs case against Gogineni motivated

 Somajiguda: The Jana Vignana Vedika (JVV) on Friday described the case of treason registered by the Madhapur police against prominent rationalist Babu Gogineni as an attempt to silence his voice and to hold out threats to him. 

While condemning the police action, the Vedika leaders contended that the charges under the State Act levelled against Gogineni would not stand. They stated that the Vedika’s legal team had concluded that there was no proof against him and that the case was intended to create hatred. If a comprehensive inquiry was conducted by the police, the case was likely to turn against them, Vedika claimed. 

The Vedika leaders who submitted a written representation to Cyberabad Commissioner PC Sajjanar on Thursday demanded a comprehensive inquiry into the ‘motivated’ complaint and take action against the complainant. They urged the CP to stop the inquiry proceedings as Gogineni figures in TV reality show Big Boss.
