Anna Nagar residents demand pattas

Secunderabad: The residents of Anna Nagar have been demanding for pattas and went in for  hunger strike here on Sunday. This comes after the Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) removed 28,123 persons from voters list citing encroachment of central government land.

Sri Ganesh, Congress leader said, “The SCB should regularize the land and ensure these people get the right to cast their vote in SCB elections.” He also added there is no response from SCB, the whole constituency would come together to hold padayatra from 15  He further said that the present state government should keep up its promise to hold talks with the central government and ensure that the land documents were given to all those residing in central government lands once TRS party comes into power. About 1,000 persons gathered at Anna Nagar.
