Independence Day in newly created panchayats of Tandur

Tandur: Independence Day celebrations were held with patriotic fervour in Peddamul, Yalal, Basheerabad and Tandur in the division on Wednesday. People unfurled national flag and distributed sweets among them in their locality. 

Students of various schools rallied on roads by making patriotic slogans. Some of them were dressed as national leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru, Netaji, Bhagat Singh and Alluri Seetha Rama Raju. On the other side, newly created panchayats first time celebrated Independence Day. The villagers toured door to door and distributed sweets.
