Minister, MLC, corporator collect donations for Kerala flood victims

Kacheguda: Excise Minister Padma Rao, MLC Prabhakar, Corporator Yekkala Kanna Chaitanya (TRS) on Thursday collected donations totaling Rs 1 lakh, including cheques, 7,500 kg rice, 2,000 saris and bedsheets for supplying to the Kerala flood victims. 

They collected funds by asking commuters at traffic signals and from RTC bus passengers. The collected material will be sent to the flood-affected State. Some women tied rakhis to Chaitanya before gifting a helmet. They also offered prizes as donations to be forwarded to Kerala. Among those who participated in the fund collection drive were former MP G Vivek, Secunderabad TRS in charge Bandi Ramesh.
