5-month-old baby girl killed

 Gadwal: In an inhuman act, a father killed his own 5-month-old baby girl by dumping her in the water tank inside the bathroom. The incident came to light in Pullur Village of Undavalli mandal of Gadwal district on Monday. 

According to relatives, Vijay and Lalitha of Pullur village were married for 3 years ago. Lalitha gave birth to a baby girl five months ago. Vijay, father of baby girl was unhappy with the girl child. 

Lalitha was kept at her parents’ home for the past five months. It was only yesterday that she had been invited by her in-laws’ for performing a naming ceremony for the child. 

However, after reaching her in-laws’ home in Pullur, in just an hour’s time Vijay, the father of the child who was pretending to be playing with the baby took her into the bathroom and dumped the child in the water tank in the bathroom, and mercilessly killed the baby and left the spot. 

Soon after knowing the incident, the police swung into action and booked a case. They are investigating the case and sent teams to hunt for the culprit.
