Dharma Naik murder: Wife among 5 arrested

Nagarjunasagar: Finally, the police have cracked the sensational murder case of vice-Sarpanch Dharma Naik and arrested five members, including Naik’s second wife Shirisha. The other arrested were identified as Angothu Ravi, Angothu Kamili, Meravath Haaliram and Meravath Sujatha. 

Producing the arrested before the media at Nagarjunasagar poilce station on Friday, Miryalaguda DSP P Srinivas informed that after inquiring the family members and first wife Savitri of Dharma Naik, police suspected the role of his second wife Shirisha, who had disputes with Naik.  

On reliable information, police arrested the accused Shirisha and others at different places in Tirumalagiri mandal. During interrogation, Shirisha admitted that she along with others killed her husband by planting a country-made bomb under his cot. 

The DSP appreciated Nagarjunasagar CI Ravinder, Tirumalgiri SI Kurmaiah, Peddavoora SI Srinu Naik and others who cracked the case and arrested the culprits within two days.
