TGOA demands scrapping of contributory pension scheme

Bhongir: Telangana Gazetted Officers Association district president P Venkatesham on Friday expressed opposition to the contributory pension scheme (CPS). The scheme would push the employees into miserable conditions, he said.

Venkatesham along with TSCPSEU district president T Srinivas and General Secretary S Venkataramana at a programme here said the Jana Jathara protest programme on CPS would be held at Hyderabad on March 10.

Speaking on the occasion, TSCPSEU district president Srinivas called upon the employees to continue the agitation till government withdrew the CPS and implement old pension scheme Organisation General secretary said after the breadwinners’ sudden death, as many as 230 families were in dire straits. Apart from it, due to CPS scheme, more than 930 government employees are getting between Rs 500 and 1,000 pension per month, he added.

Organisation leaders urged the employees to make the Jana Jathara programme a grand success. In this program TSCPSEU leaders N Ramesh, Anjamkumar, Pradeep, TNGO leaders Srinivasulu, Rafi Suresh and others participated.
