Four apprehended for robbery in Jadcherla

Jadcherla: The Jadcherla police have arrested four persons for robbing a person at Pochamma Gadda Thanda of Malleboinpally village in Jadcherla mandal and and seized an auto-rickshaw, on Thursday. 

According to Jadcherla Sub-Inspector Venkata Narayana, Raja Kumar, a private employee working in Hyderabad, had come to his in-laws house in Pochhama Gadda Thanda. However, while on his way to the Thanda on March 15, Raja Kumar got down at the Nalanda B.Ed College Junction and started walking towards the Thanda in the night .

Learning that Raja Kumar was going alone, four persons in an auto-rickshaw came to Raja Kumar and asked him to get into the auto as they were also going to the same village. However, after travelling  some distance, they stopped the auto-rickshaw and threatened Raja Kumar to relieve off all his belongings. They stole Rs 15000, two cell phones from him and dropped him on the way and went away. 

After filing a case with Jadcherla police, the police scanned  all the details of auto-rickshaws from the CCTV cameras installed near the bridge and arrested the culprits from new bus stand area on Thursday. 

“We went through CCTV footage and scanned the movements of all the auto-rickshaws in ­Jadcherla. Based on the preliminary information provided by the victim, we could zero in on the exact auto-rickshaw and arrested all the four persons involved in the crime. 

We have also seized the auto-rickshaw,” informed Venkata Narayana, SI of Jadcherla. The arrested include Kodiganti Venkata Ramgopal, the autorikshaw driver, Gunemoni Ramesh, Guggilla Teppa Nagaraju  and Yeddu Karthik.  The police have booked cases against all the four accused and sent them for remand.
