Officials told to complete Mission Bhagiratha works by month-end

 Suryapet: Minister for Energy G Jagadish Reddy on Tuesday directed the officials concerned to speed up and complete the Mission BHagiratha works in the town by April 30. The water treatment plant is scheduled to be inaugurated on May 9.

The works are meant to provide drinking water to every household in Suryapet Municipal limits.The Minister along with the District Collector Surendra Mohan was holding a review meeting with official in Suryapet.

Speaking on the occasion, Jagadish Reddy advised the officials to pay a special attention to the government’s flagship programme, Mission Bhagiratha.officials should take proper care in providing potable water in villages. He warned the officials of action if they failed to act.
 
He advised the officials to make available the required number of water tankers to provide drinking water to the people in villages. He further advised them to visit all the villages in the district before preparing a comprehensive plan to address the drinking water problem.

In this programme, Mission Bhagiratha Superintendent Engineer Madhu Babu, Executive Engineer Venkateshwarlu, RWS Executive Engineer Mohan Reddy, DEs, AEs and others participated.
