Six kidnappers arrested; car, laptop, cell phones seized

Bhongir: Bhongir Rural police arrested six persons for alleged kidnapping Sadachari on May 10 in a bid to make him repay the money he had borrowed. Deputy Commissioner of Police Ramchandra Reddy told the media that  Sadachari, who hailed from Anajipuram under Bhuvanagiri mandal, had borrowed Rs 70 lakh from Venkat Reddy, Yashoda and Anita of the same village. He promised to pay higher interest for the money he had borrowed. Sadachari had been working as a manager with political leader. He had in fact repaid Rs 35 lakh to the borrowers.

Later, Sadachari had delayed repayment of the loan. The borrowers kidnapped him that Sadachari could default on repayment of loan. Venkat Reddy Yashoda and Anita, the police said, had approached Konagandla Suresh and Thadoju Nagaraj, who hailed from Khammam, to exert pressure on Sadachari. Suresh and Nagaraju along with other five had kidnapped Sadachari on May 10 and whisked him away to Torrur via Valigonda and Bonagiri. They demanded that Sadachari pay Rs 50 lakh ransom and released him. 

Later, Sadachari approached the Bhogir rural police for him and lodged a complaint. Basing on the complaint, the police with the help of CCTV camera footage arrested the alleged kidnapers, the DCP said. The police seized a car, a laptop and two cell phones from the possession of the arrested.
