SCCL to float tenders for solar power plants

Kothagudem:   The Singareni Collieries Company will float tenders for the constructions of solar power plants, said the company’s chairmen and managing director N Sridhar on Wednesday.  

He held a meeting at the Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad with the Solar Energy Corporation (India) representatives.  He discussed the proposals to clear them for the construction of the solar power plants. He said, in the first phase, 300 mega watt solar plants will be constructed in different areas such as  Manuguru, Yellandhu, Ramagundam-03 and Singareni Thermal Power Station.

He also said in Manuguru a solar power plant of the capacity of -30 MW will be constructed while in  Yellandu – 60 MW, Ramagudnadam – 50 MW and Singareni Thermal Power Stations 10 M.W will be capacity of the  proposed solar power plants.

  Within ten days the company will  call the tenders for the construction of the plants.   He also gave instructions to the concerned department for starting the work immediately.  He said the locations were identified by the area general managers for the constructions of the plants.  Earlier, he conducted a meeting with the thermal power plant officers for ascertaining the production details of the plant. He praised officers for achieving the targets of power generation. 

 Sridhar also conducted a review meeting for planning the production in the coming months.  Solar Energy Corporation (India) director Mishra, director (SCCL ) S.Shanker, executive director NTPC, Sanjay Kumar, JN Singh,  Shyam Sunder, Manuguru, Yellandu, Ramagundam -03 general managers attended the meeting.
