Telangana Govt committed to uplift of downtrodden: Tummala Nageswara Rao

Khammam: The State government is striving for uplifting the downtrodden, said the Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao here on Tuesday.

The Minister was visiting the Narasimhapuram and Thallampadu villages under Khammam Rural mandal, Laying foundation stone for the road widening works from Thallampadu to Kondapuram village at an estimate dcost of Rs 5 crore, he said the government had launched schemes for the benefit of all sections of people.

The Minister interacted with the villagers to find out whether the benefits of welfare schemes were reaching them. The villagers requested the Minister for laying of interlinking roads in the villages. The Minister assured them that he would take initiative for the all-round development of the villages.

DCCB Chairman Muvva Vijay Babu, Farmer Coordination Committee District President Nallamalla Venkateshwar Rao, Revenue Divisional Officer Purnachandram, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Marapaka Nagesh and Mandal officer were present at the programme.
